This has been one of those days. Nothing very bad happened, but for every little thing I accomplished, there was some sort of headache involved.
It started this morning with my stitching. Thinking I just had to fill in some blank areas with the color I'd lost, replaced, and then found again yesterday, I started stitching away. Then when I came to the end of the section and checked the pattern, I realized it wasn't all meant to be that color; so about 80% of that had to come out... and it was the first 80% and not the last. I set the piece aside after that, and figured I'd get back to it later, when my reserves of patience had been replenished.
But this just wasn't a patience-replenishing sort of day. It had it's good moments, and those pretty much evened out the annoying ones; but by time Jev and I met up for the evening, I was pretty overwrought.
A bath helped... I took a mug of tea, and a book, but even then I couldn't escape Mr. Murphy. Yes, he followed me into the bathroom!
There's a towel rack on the wall at the back end of the tub (opposite the faucet), and my big bath towel was hanging there. I'd tossed the free end back up over the rack, to keep it from trailing down into the water. Most of the time, it stays that way. But I was leaning back against the wall, drinking my tea, when suddenly everything went a dark shade of dusty rose. If it hadn't been so funny, I just might have cried.
I did start feeling better after my bath, and when I got back to the computer I surfed, and eventually stitched some more, while Jev and I talked on netmeeting.
We've discovered this odd little bug... not sure if it's netmeeting or something else, but if Jev copies something to his clipboard on his computer, I can paste it into a text window on my machine, and vice versa. I had been working on the site earlier today, and was cut-pasting things, when I got a string of text I knew could only have come from Jev. When we experimented with it then, it only worked one-way; but now it seems to be working both. Strange....
TIme for me to go to bed. I hope Mr. Murphy decides to take a vacation tomorrow!!!
