It's getting closer.... Today, Jev and I talked and started figuring out some strategies for getting both of us, our belongings, and my two cats to our new home in Virginia. It's going to take a cross-country drive, and airplane trip, two different (three actually) moving sessions... sheesh, what a job.

It looks like I'll be flying to be with him right after finals, and staying there for about a week, while we finalize what apartment we want, get his stuff moved out of the dorms and maybe his stuff from his parents' house moved, as well. Then I'll fly back here on the other half of my ticket (it seems silly, but it's $40 cheaper to fly round trip to Virginia, than to fly one way), and Jev and his dad will drive out and meet me here, where hopefully I'll have all my stuff ready to load on a rental truck. Then we all drive back to Virginia, with my two cats in their carrier, crying all the way, I'm sure.

We should get back and get settled in the last full week of May, and then June 1st will be Jev's first day of work. By then, I think I'll need a vacation from our little cross-country vacation!

Looks like we won't be seeing "Phantom Menace" when it first comes out; that would be the day before I fly back here to Missouri, most likely. I doubt either of us will feel like standing in a long line to get the tickets after all we'll have had to do. Depending on what airport I fly into, we may even be driving back to West Virginia that night.

Jev doesn't sound disappointed about that at all, though I kinda wish we could go on opening night. I remember standing in lines for Empire and Jedi when I was younger, and I saw Star Wars at the drive in when I was seven or so; it's kind of a big thing for me, but as Jev says, it will still be around once we get in and settled.

Mom had called me out to the living room this morning to tell me: That director guy from ... not Star Trek, the other one... George Lucas? Yeah, him... he's going to be on television today. What channel? I don't know... one of the ones I watch... I'm thinking, ... um... we have cable here...

Anyway, George Lucas was on 60 Minutes tonight, but I never realized it until after The X Files was over. *sigh* They had a small clip on their website, but it was very small. I did catch Matt Groenig's "Futurama" and I got a good chuckle out of that... Since Jev likes The Simpsons, I imagine we'll be a Fox Family on Sunday nights now.

I seem to be rambling aimlessly now. Jev's up in bed and falling asleep, and putting me to sleep in the process. It's almost midnight, and the cats will want me up at 6, so I suppose I should wrap this up. G'night...
