Not really a lot to write about today. Munchie is definitely on the road to recovery, as I'm currently playing 'doily' with her. I can hear you asking now, 'What do you mean by playing doily?!?' And since I can't think of anything else to write about.... here's the explanation.
Long ago, when Munchie was but a kitten, I discovered that she would chase small balls, and on occasion, bring them back to be thrown again. "Just like a dog!" Mom would say, since Munchie was half-raised by a black labrador (note resemblance), and when she was very young, she would hunch down over her dish and growl at anyone who came near, when she was trying to eat. Laughing at this analogy, I continued to play ball with her when she would bring it to me, but she had a bad habit of bringing it about halfway to me from where I'd thrown it, and then dropping it.
One evening, I was watching television in the living room with Mom (Murphy Brown, if you must know, and only because Scott Bakula was on), and sitting on the floor, throwing the ball for Munchie. She didn't bring it back, and I was getting tired of being the fetcher, so I looked around for something else to throw. I had a glass of soda or something sitting on the coffee table, in one of the wooden coasters, with a little crocheted doily to soak up the condensation.

Thinking the doily somewhat resembled a small Frisbee, I took it from under the class, and threw it Frisbee-style, over Munchie's head. Well, I thought I was throwing it over Munchie's head, but she saw it coming and jumped for it. And so a new game began.
Admittedly, pulling the doily out from under my glass might not have been the brightest of ideas, because we ended up with a couple spilled drinks, until we learned to stop using the doilies for their original purpose.
Four years later, Munchie is still playing. I think we started out with six of the things, but these days we're down to the last doily, and when Munchie can't find her doily, she's a sorry sight. So one of these days I'll have to ask my aunt if she would be so kind as to make us a few more, or I'm going to have to bite the bullet and learn how to crochet with crochet thread rather than yarn.
