We made it! The three years apart are over, except for the formality of a couple more days while Jev and his dad drive out to Missouri after I fly back. And even that might not be all that long, since Jev was telling me that they wanted to try to drive straight through.
Anyway, less than 36 hours away from graduation ceremonies, and I'm here with Jev, typing this on his computer. For a while this morning, I was having doubts about making my flight, though. I had a very DUH moment before we headed out: I'd taken out my wallet to make sure I had my ID and Jev's old school ID just in case the ticket agent wondered why my ticket was charged on his credit card. So I checked, and I had both, and I threw my small photo album in my bag, so I had a picture or ten of us together, just in case.
Off we headed, and about twenty minutes down the road, something made me check and make sure I had everything again. Confirmation number, flight schedule, wallet.... wallet? Um, where's my wallet?!?!
Yes, I had left my wallet at home, on my chair. It's a darn good thing Mom always insists that we leave far too early. We had time to go back and get my wallet (and my Simple Abundance book, while I was at it), and get back to the airport, and I still got to the gate before they boarded the plane. Some things are just meant to be.
Jev met me at the gate in Roanoke, and we went to check out the apartment he found. It's great! We decided to take it, and tomorrow we should get the key (listening to Deana Carter's latest album, and the track that's on is "Brand New Key" *chuckle*).
We drove around a bit, and he tried a different route from our apartment to his new job, had dinner at Fazoli's, then stopped at a furniture place and looked at mattresses, and found one we liked, though it's a little pricey. We haven't made up our minds on that one yet, but it did feel awful nice, so we'll see... I want to try laying in it when I'm not so stuffed, too... Fazolis makes for one stuffed Lisana.
I'm rambling all over the place, and I'm getting wound up when I really want to get curled up with my baby, so I'm going to stop before I get tooooo carried away. Talk to you later!
