We made it! Jev and I are here in our apartment in Virginia, with most of our worldly possessions. Jev still has boxes back at his parents' place, since they're only a three hour drive away, but since it's a much longer trip for me, I brought everything I could pack, or at least everything that I remembered to pack.

Now that I'm in the process of unpacking it, though, I frequently find myself asking, "Why did I have to have this?!?" I have at least a dozen of the Care Bear glasses that Pizza Hut put out back in the mid eighties; then there are the boxes of knick-knacks that I probably should have sold at the yard sale, but couldn't bear to part with when I was doing the packing. I'm too much of a packrat, and even though I did get rid ofe lots of miscellany at the sale, poor Jev and his dad had to unload tons of boxes.

I felt bad because I can't make one trip to and from the moving truck without getting out of breath, but Jev told me not to worry about it. So I've been focusing on finding the kitchen stuff (since we weren't very good about labelling boxes), and getting unpacked.

Jev's dad is spending the night in the spare room, and he'll probably stick around another day or so, I suppose. Tomorrow we'll take the rental truck to the local Ryder place, and take Jev's dad out to the Saturn dealer to have a look, and then take care of whatever else comes up. For now, though, Jev's back from his shower and ready for bed, so I'll say goodnight.

Goodnight!
