We had quite the nice weekend, this time around. Jev's still a bit under the weather and didn't feel like doing a whole lot, and that was perfectly fine with me. Saturday morning we went to Sam's club and got ourselves a membership, and then Jev wanted to head back to Tech to get a new window sticker for the car, and look up his computer friend.
We did that, and spent a few hours visiting with his friend, who was at home with their baby girl, while Mom and big brother were at a family reunion. The three of us had pizza, and Jev's friend showed off a couple computer games, and we played pass-the-baby, trying to get her to eat a bit, and finally headed back home around 8:30.
Yesterday we were really lazy, and never even got dressed until we wanted to go out and get something for dinner. We had roast beef at Arby's, and then looked around Wally World a bit, and came home with a few things... including a new cross stitch magazine with a must-do Teresa Wentzler cat cross stitch (Just Cross Stitch, Aug 99 issue, if you're curious).
The past few days, my shoulder and back had been bothering me, and at times, it was hard for me even to sit or stand up (relatively) straight, so when we got home, Jev worked on the muscles in my shoulder (it didn't feel good while he was doing it, but being able to sit UP again felt much better when it was all done), and then I went and soaked in the tub for a while, drooling over the cross stitch design.
Much to my surprise, I heard the vacuum running while I was soaking, and when I came out, Jev had vacuumed the entire apartment. I'd meant to do that on Friday, but with my shoulder so messed up, it was too much to even think about! It seems to be feeling pretty much back to normal this morning, so hopefully it will stay that way.
Not a lot planned for this week... Jev gets one day off for the 4th, but he didn't know if it would be this Friday or next Monday, so we'll just have to see what he says when he gets home. I know there's a big fireworks show going on at one of the nearby stadiums on Sunday, so maybe we can go to that; it can't possibly be as messy as going to DC a couple years ago was. Even the thought of being stuck in that crowd again makes me just a little edgy.
I've spent a lot more time surfing online today than I meant to, so I'll wrap this up and post it and go get back to work (stitching). Take care!
