I have a zit. This isn't really news, as I've had acne problems since I was about thirteen, but this zit defies all known laws of zitdom. I have a zit on the edge of my eyelid, right between my eyelash line and where my eyelid touches my eye. I can feel it brushing against the surface of my eye, if I'm paying attention to it.
This is not a good thing. I can't put any acne treatment on it, because I'd be putting the stuff in my eye. All I can do is hope that it's not going to turn into a Mount Everest, and that it will run its course and go away and quit bothering me.
Really, there have been more interesting things going on in my life than just zits. I've just been bad about writing about them, because my computer has been in various stages of being ripped apart, reconfigured, reinstalled (twice), and whatnot. I did get a new (17.2 GB) hard drive out of the deal, and a great video card (now that we have all the correct drivers loaded) and a faster CD-ROM. Oh, and Jev gave me some of his RAM, too, so my system is nice and fast now. I just don't have access to the things that were on my smaller hard drive, and won't have until Jev gets his system up and running again, because that's where my backup is. And of course, my website things were on the smaller drive. So I've been bad about updating, basically because I can't. Hopefully, that will be corrected this weekend.
In other news, I've been having a nice time corresponding with Michele, one of my readers, and she was kind enough to give me a mention and a link in one of her journal entries (Thanks Michele!), so I thought I'd do the same. She's just recently started a new online journal, so if you're looking for a new read, hop on over and take a look.
I also have to say thanks to WJJS-FM, one of the radio stations here in Roanoke. Tuesday morning, Jev was on his way to work when they had a trivia call-in to win a pair of tickets to see Hootie and the Blowfish in concert. Jev grabbed the phone and called, got through on his second (and last) try, and was the first to give the correct answer. So they set him up with two free tickets to the show, an appetizer at Awful Arthur's, and a couple WJJS T-shirts, to boot.
I'm a country girl, for the most part, and had only heard maybe a couple songs by Hootie, but I must say they put on a great show!
