This week can't be over already; I really don't know where it went! I admit, I piddled away a lot of time playing games on the computer, and I've put a number of hours into cross stitching (I'm on the backstitching of the piece Dimensions sent me... yay!!!), and a little bit here and there reading (I've read the whole all of Robin McKinley's Beauty last night and this afternoon). But other than those few little things, and a day or two of laundry and cleaning up the kitchen, I just haven't done anything, or at least it feels like it.
I guess part of it is probably because I've been bad about keeping up my journal entries; they sort of let me sit back and think about what's gone on, and put a bit of order to my days. I've also been bad about getting dressed and presentable; I think I've been in my sleep shirt half the time this week when Jev's come home from work. So the days just blur together a bit, and here I am at Friday afternoon.
Dinner tonight is easy -- chili and sketti, and the chili is already made. Jev and I went out last night for dinner (and got a bit of a scare when a police car came up behind us with the blue lights flashing), but we didn't do anything else, since we were too stuffed to breathe, let alone shop afterward. So tonight, maybe we'll go out and see a movie or something. Is anything good opening tonight?
As for tomorrow, I already have a few plans. The Michael's that went in, in place of MJ Designs, opens tomorrow, and I'd also like to get over to the cross stitch shop in Salem, and see if they have the new DMC floss colors, and the Marlitt floss for my chocolate hoarding dragon. Granted, that won't take up the entire day (though I probably could manage to spend a few hours in Michael's), but it's a start. It's supposed to be another 96 degree day, so I don't see us going to a park for a walk or anything; I wish it would cool off, so we could.
Sorry for all the babbling; there's really just not much going on here right now. Jev and I looked for ticket prices to fly to California in September, and I think we've come to the conclusion that it would be best to go to a real travel agent for this one. Part of me would like to spend a few days out there (and I know my body would appreciate not being dragged from one coast to the other and back again in the space of three days), but I don't want Jev to have to use up all of his paid vacation in one fell swoop. Could somebody please come and make up my mind for me? Thanks...
I'll stop here, or who knows what my mind will start wandering into next. Have a good weekend; hopefully I'll be back on Monday.
